Uppsala and Stockholm, Sweden
August 21st – August 23rd, 2026
From August 21st to 23rd, IAAS Sweden hosted five members from IAAS Switzerland at the Swedish University of Agricultural Sciences (SLU) in Uppsala.
On the first day, we explored the SLU campus and laboratories, took a tour of Uppsala city, and visited the Linnaeus Garden and Uppsala University. In the evening, IAAS Sweden organized a traditional Swedish student dinner for our members. We also had a very special surprise: a Viking ritual, a unique tradition at SLU where students welcome new students.
On the second day, the group travelled to Stockholm to discover the history and culture of the Swedish capital. Throughout the weekend, both committees had a fruitful exchange on agriculture, forestry, research, culture, and student life, while also getting to know each other and sharing experiences.
