World Congress 2025
The 68th World Congress in 2025 is co-hosted by IAAS Switzerland and IAAS Italy and will center around the theme “How ecosystems shape the agri-food landscape”. This year around 60 international IAAS-Members from all member countries are invited to join this event in various locations in Switzerland and Italy.
What is WOCO?
The World Congress(WoCo) is the most important constitutional event of IAAS, bringing together students
from all over the world for the anually general assembly to discuss strategies and positions to be adopted in relation to global challenges,
as well as refinement of the association’s constitution and by-laws. From these discussions are finalized
position papers to be presented at events such as COP, UN events and WFF where IAAS acts as
representative of youth and as a member of the children and youth constituency of the United Nations
(YOUNGO). In addition to that, the World Congress is filled with divers activities, such as: trainings on soft skills, workshops,
seminars, panels, excursions, visits to companies, as well as activities aimed at promoting the local culture
and traditions. These activities contribute to enriching participants’ personal and professional
development by offering them opportunities to acquire new skills, broaden their perspectives, and
network with experts and peers from diverse backgrounds. This event also benefits the exchange of ideas and knowledge among students and value diversity.

The first part of WOCO 25 (07.07.25-14.07.25) will take place in Switzerland. IAAS Switzerland will invite 50-60 international students, which will have the possibilty to participate in the entire program. However, there will be also the possibilty for Swiss students to be part of Woco 25 and participate in most events/excurions/workshops. More details regarding program and application (for Swiss students) are coming soon here and on our instagram page.
To organize a memorable and seamless Woco 25 for all participants, we are dependent on financial, logistic, nutritional and other resources also from outside our association.
